Enchanter Cottages

Welcome to Enchanter Cottages, our beautiful self catering French holiday Retreat. An excellent venue for your main holiday, or short break. You may want to explore France with a view to purchase your own property, or perhaps be close to your own renovation. Ideal for quiet self catering holidays when you visit Brittany, it is a traditional French cottage.

Enchanter Cottages are in the heart of rural Brittany, just one and a half hours drive from the port of St Malo, or the same distance from Dinard airport. They are self catering cottages built of traditional Breton stone and slate, with resident owners next door.

The cottages are situated in Dept. 56, Morbihan, which enjoys the warm air of the gulf stream. Enchanter Cottages offer peace and tranquillity for all. You can enjoy lovely walks through the village of St Nicolas du Tertre or stroll around the lake where you will see the beautiful wildlife in their natural habitat, or even go fishing!

Enchanter Cottages are surrounded by delightful Petit Cities of Character.

Malestroit has in recent years celebrated its 1000 years anniversary. It is situated on the Nantes to Breast canal, which has a boat lock and boasts five bridges, plus a market square where local produce are sold each week. There are numerous restaurants for lunch or evening meal.

If you feel you need a rest from relaxation then you might like to explore the Prehistoric Adventure Park, Butterfly and Insectorarium near to La Gacilly. Or perhaps visit Yves Rocher, our local perfume factory and shop, who provide guided tours, and of course, you can try out new and different perfumes and then purchase later should you wish. Yves Rocher is on the outskirts of the village of La Gacilly which is a very pretty town in its own right, where you can buy arts and crafts such as jewellery, glass sculptures, hand made wooden toys, antiques and many more exciting gifts for you to take home.

Jossalin is a magnificent fortress city with a very impressive cathedral with its original historic gargoyles. It also has a beautiful medieval chateau which is open to the public.

Rocheforte en Terre has craft shops, an extraordinary sweet shop, magnificent church and chateau with its own archaeological dig, and lastly Lizio, this petit city is just that; a beautiful little city.

The large and busy town of Vannes is approximately 40 minutes drive away. Here, you can shop till you drop then enjoy a well earned cup of tea or coffee in one of the many harbour cafes, just watch the world in their boats go by.
